The Holiday Train Date:

The Holiday Train Show at the NY Botanical Garden

The Holiday Train Show at the NY Botanical Garden

Yesterday we went to the NY Botanical Garden to see their holiday train show. It was a wonderland of historic New York landmark replicas which included the original Yankee stadium, St. Patrick’s cathedral, the original Pennsylvania Station and many more! Model trains chug around these lit sensational buildings to create a cozy scene. And remarkably, everything is made from natural materials. It is really special and this exhibition is showing until January 10th so you still have time to go! Tickets are $25 for adults and show hours and directions are listed on their website (link below).
We also visited a second exhibit there called ‘Gingerbread Adventures’ that was a lot of fun too (see the link below for pictures and a description). There is plenty to see at the NY Botanical Garden beyond the holiday train show so we felt the ticket fee was well worth it. I definitely recommend this as a memorable date spot. So grab your honey and go. And don’t forget your camera!
I am posting a slideshow of our visit at http://www.examiner.com/x-/x-2473-NY-Love-Examiner~y2009m12d27-The-Train-Show-date and a short video of the trains there too.
